Poor Baby

My Poor Sick Baby Boy.

It started as a cough virus and now has escalated into breathing treatments every 3-4 hours. The virus caused such breathing problems for Lath, that we are on our 6th day of steroids, breathing treatments and NO sleep. The doctor wants me to be "on it"because RSV, could be in the works. So please say a prayer for our Little Man.

My Big Helper

Emma Grace is always such a big helper. The other day I was cleaning the mirrors and she asked if she could help, so I gave her the bottle of Windex and she went to town on the french doors. A while later I look over and she is singing away and now at the front door. I grabbed my camera, it was just one of those "cute moments".

Miss You Dad

These pictures were taken when he was going through Chemo and Radiation, so he doesn't look quite like I remember him but it show his love for my children.

On Saturday, it will 3 years since my Dad passed away from stage 4 Lung Cancer. This time of year is always very hard for me, with the the Holidays. He was a great man, who worked so very hard for his family. He was such a wonderful PaPa to my children. Him and Kiley were like two peas in a pod. They had such a special relationship. Emma Grace was only a little over a year when he passed away, so she doesn't remember much of him. He was also very sick during that time. He was diagnosed in August of 04, she was born in September of the same year and he passed away November of 05. Still the time he did spend with her was so very special. He was very sick, but would hold her in his arms for hours and both of them would fall asleep. During that short time of his diagnosis till his death we became very close. It was so hard for me, I took on the parent role as he took on the helpless child role. I remember taking care of him and healing so many open wounds from my childhood growing up. I will never be completely okay, and this forced me to grow all the way up, but it sure taught me how to keep going when you feel like it's almost impossible. I am so proud of how my dad fought so darn hard. I know where I got my integrity and strength from. I know he is now in Heaven with God, looking down on me and my children.....and with that I can be in peace.

She LOST it!

FINALLY, Kiley lost her top tooth. This will make 5, wow, the tooth fairy is going to be broke! Well, the reason I Say finally is because this one has been hanging, and I mean hanging on for about 2 weeks. For some reason she wanted this one to just "fall" out. We have had many nights of negotiating with this tooth and Kiley, thank God Kiley and the tooth finally gave up, not that 5:00 am was the most convenient time, but hey we will take what we can get, to get that tooth out. So, yes at 5 am Kiley comes running in my room, crying that it is bleeding and it just has to come out than. I hate pulling, seeing, messing with teeth, but at this point, I was okay with it. She decided she would pull it herself and with one little tug, it was out. Well, the tooth fairy will come once again and I told Kiley the tooth fairy brings more than a dollar for top teeth, which she reminded me that, this morning, so tooth fairy how much is more??? Kiley says the dollar bills with big numbers on them:) She is growing so fast!

My Big Boy

Where does the time go?!! Lathan turned 3 months last week and I just can't believe it. I finally got a good belly-time shot, he just hates laying on his belly. Usally my pictures of him on his belly, he's either face first on the ground or screaming. This one I am cheering "go big boy, look at you" and he is trying so hard to keep the heavy head up, lol! I just love him and wish in a crazy kinda way the days would slow down.

Picture # 4

Thanks Kate for tagging me! Now, the game goes this way, go to your pictures, pick the forth file and then the forth picture. I just got a brand new laptop last weekend, so my pictures are pretty recent. This is the Lucky picture, which works out well because I never got to blog about Emma Grace's B-day because of all the issues with my old computer.
Emma Grace turned 4 on September 10th and boy did she enjoy celebrating with yummy cupcakes! (mommy cheated and bought them form Harris Teeter, ) This is a picture of Kiley and Emma Grace enjoying those cupcakes! I can't believe my baby girl is 4. She has really growin up in the past months, especailly since her roll as a big sister has taken place. She is an awesome, free spirted, giving, loving, girl. She loves playing dress up and on any given day you will find her in some type of dress up attire. She loves dresses that fly up when she spins and when putting a dress on she always has to test out the spin factor. She has a heart of gold and reminds me so much of my mom. I love spending time with just her and I. She loves her family, each one of us in her own way. She is a gift from God and I feel so very lucky to call her mine. Happy Birthday Big Girl, you will always be mommies Baby Girl.
I will tag Kell, Holly and Dawn, I can't think of anyone else who reads my blog, that hasn't been tagged:)

Update

Me and Kell. She's the Godmother!

My Grandparents and Lathan. My Grandfather is a Deacon and has Baptized all my children. It makes it even a more special moment.
Kell, and Zac the Godparents, me, Ryan, Lathan and my Grandfather.
Yes, I have been M.I.A. My computer is having technical difficulties. Me and Ryan have decided we need to get a new computer we just haven't had time and when we do have time taking 3 kids to pick out a new laptop doesn't sound to appealing.

So, let's see what you have missed out on.....

Emma Grace's 4th B-day and B-day party, Lathan's Baptism, My mom's wedding.....those being the big events and of course just the daily pictures I have taken of the kid's just having fun.

I lost Photoshop, along with all my Microsoft programs so I am unable to post pictures unless they are emailed to me. My sis sent some pictures of Lathan's Baptism so I will share those and when I get time to go purchase that new laptop I promise the pictures will start to come.

Kiley is doing GREAT in school, she just loves learning! She is doing Hip-Hop at Steps N' Motion and is so good at it. She is a great big help with Lathan and her and Emma Grace are Best Friends, they play so well together!
Emma Grace is doing preschool at home with one of our neighbors. She loves it and has really taken an interest in learning. She loves to write her letters and constantly has a book in hand. She is doing dance again this year, Tap and Ballet and is really enjoynig it. She is also a super helper with her baby brother and just adores him.

Lathan, wow has this baby boy growing so quickly. He will be 12 weeks on Monday. I took him to the doctors last week for a cold and he weighed in at 15.2 lbs. He is getting so big. He smiles constantly and is starting to talk to us. He is sleeping pretty well, only waking once during the night usually between 4 and 5. Sleeping a total of 12 hours! It's nice getting about 5-6 straight hours of sleep. He is the easiest baby. We are so lucky to have him.

So that is our quick,,,,well kinda long update, but hey it's almost been a month and I had to give you a little of each kiddo.

The Greek Festival

My wonderful sister Kelley came with us to the Greek Festival this weekend. It was so crowded but the kids had a blast. Kell rode on the rides with Emma Grace, she's my "nervous about everything child" and wanted Kell with her. The food smelled so good. I was good and didn't eat any of it. They have live dances back to back and we got to watch some of the kids preform. Kiley and Emma Grace were glued. It was a fun day. Thanks for all your help Kell.

Why I love Harris Teeter

Well, before I had Lathan, and Kiley and Emma Grace were in school, I would shop at Wal-mart for groceries, great prices and ummmm.... that's about it. Well, since I've had Lathan I've been going to Harris Teeter. It is right around the corner, they help carry your groceries out (which I never let them do until now), they have great customer service and the free balloons and cookies don't hurt! So this morning me, Emma Grace and Lathan head out to HT. It's really difficult shopping when the car seat takes up the whole cart so by the time we were done, we were DONE! I had the bagger carry my stuff out and load it up. I get home Lathan is ready to eat and I am starving. I start unpacking the cold stuff and looking for my lunch and realise I only have about half my groceries, UHHHHHHHH, the last thing I want to do is load up the kids and head back out. Lathan is hungry and ready for a nap and I am starving and of course Emma Grace is hungry it's after 12. So, I call HT and ask them if they have my groceries and of course then do. I ask if they could possibly bring them out to me when I get there and the girl tells me she can deliver them to my house!!!! What??!! Okay, I am not gonna argue with that. So, that is why I shop at HT. Oh, and they gave me a gift card because of the inconvenience. Thanks HT, you've got my business:)

End Of Summer Pictures...

The Kiddos
Emma Grace before dance class
All smiles....he's sure doing a lot of that lately
Emma Grace loves her baby brother

Instead of doing several blogs I am just gonna put up a few end of summer pictures. This week has been a little crazy. Kiley started 1st Grade and is doing great. Dance started back for both girls and Kiley has Religious Eduction one night a week, starting next week. Trying to start a new routine now that school is back in session along with all the other activities we have. Here are a few pictures to mark the end of summer. I really wanted to post a first day back to school blog for Kiley but as I was walking her into school and all the parents had their cameras in hand I realised I had forgotten mine:( At least I had not forgotten any of my children. Enjoy the pictures and Holiday weekend.

Go Gamecocks!

Last night Ryan wanted me to put Lathan in his first SC Gamecocks Attire, which consist of a onesie. I didn't think he would be able to wear it this season since it's 6-9 months, but I guess I was wrong. I told Ryan, Lathan must of been the a lucky charm because they SMOKED NC State! Thanks Kate and Jeremy for the onesie, Jeremy gave this gift to Ryan when they came to visit after Lathan was born, guys and their college teams, it's too funny!
